2007 - Another New Year

"It's just another page on the calendar," I thought as we went out to "run out 2006 and run in 2007;" one of the few traditions that Christina and I maintain every year. It seems that others here in Huntsville felt the same way. We arrived in Twickingham, delightful old Huntsville, at the stroke of midnight. In the past we've seen lengthy fireworks demonstrations, cheering and falling in the shrubs at the moment the new year arrived. This year, in spite of the unseasonably warm weather there was minimum fireworks, little cheering and almost no one stayed outside long enough to fall into the shrubs. I don't know if there was something more interesting going on inside; I like to think so, or if we are more jaded now than in years past. In either case, there's only 363 more days until we ring out 2007 - I'll note the response then and pass it on for your evaluation.
